Morten's 30th Birthday

One can't really celebrate one's 30th birthday the way one might prefer, when one is smack-dab in the middle of final-year exams for medical school, but one can expect that one's family can at least give one a couple of gifts, right? So, Morten hit the big 3-0! He's officially a grown-up now: No turning back. But 2 (and a half) kids, a wife of almost 7 years, and almost a doctor (God-willing) ain't bad doin's for 30 years old. We're pretty proud of him!
Here's Max with some presents he picked out for poppa-daddy himself from the hardware store.

Morten's mom, Anni and Morten's dad, Jens joined us for dinner and a birthday cake. Here is Max and Anni looking at old pictures together.

Here's Morten's pride and joy: He got a cool new camera from his folks-in-law (and a little from his wife, but only a little). It says on the box "Canon", but I think I'm going to start calling it "Mistress", the way he spends time on it.

Look at those eyes. Kid in a candy store eyes.

We plan on doing a real shin-dig when the weather, and Morten's study load, lighten up. But for now, looks like he had a good day. Happy Birthday, babe.!
