We took a trip to our friendly neighborhood castle ruins. Not too far down the road from where we live are the remains of an ancient fort located on a partially man-made island smack dab in the middle of the bay, perfectly situated to keep an eye on any coming intruder. We took a picnic lunch and enjoyed the warm sunshine. Max had a blast as he loves anything to do with knights, princesses locked away in towers and pirates out to sea! We scoured the horizon often looking for any sign of Jolly Roger.....

Chicken Pox Attack!
It had to come sooner or later...Max got Chicken Pox. It actually wasn't that bad. He insisted on long pants and long sleeves because he didn't want to see them, so there was no scratching and no whining. The worst part was that he couldn't go to daycare for over a week, and when you have a relatively healthy 3 year old bouncing around the apartment who can't get out.... well, you fill in the gaps. Needless to say, he was happy to get back to his friends this week!
Tivoli Time!
